Harry Goddard and Charlie Strickland will represent England in this week’s Junior Players Championship, presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf, at Sawgrass Country Club, Florida.
The 54-hole championship starts on Friday and will be played on both the East and West courses at Sawgrass.
Goddard, from Hertfordshire, and Strickland, from Sussex, were both in England’s winning team at the Boys’ Home Internationals and went on to represent GB&I in last week’s Jacques Leglise Trophy match against the Continent of Europe.
Goddard, 16, (Hanbury Manor), was third in the English U16 boys’ McGregor Trophy and tied 10th in the European Young Masters. He won the South East Group’s junior championship and was the leading GB&I qualifier at the British boys’ championship. (Image © Leaderboard Photography)
