As a part of our mission to widen golf’s appeal, especially in highlighting golf as the accessible, inclusive and fun sport that we all know it can be, to allow more people to enjoy the many social, mental and physical benefits that our game can provide.
This is why we are looking to broaden our focus, support and promotion to include facilities, including:
- Driving ranges
- Short-courses, par 3 courses, pitch and putt courses
- Simulator venues
- Adventure golf venues
Research is showing that golf is played by approximately 8.5 million people every year, with half of that being solely at facilities like those listed above. Through working with these facilities across the nation, we can:
Widen golf’s appeal and drive more people into our sport through attracting them to fun and exciting opportunities at facilities, using new initiatives, campaigns and excellent promotions.
Protect and promote a positive image of golf through support with safeguarding, ED&I and other fundamental policies and processes – this is a sport that anyone can enjoy!
Support people in progressing through their golfing journey into becoming avid, life-long golfers and repeat customers.
Highlight the great work that facilities do through celebrating innovative ideas, initiatives and successes to inspire the golfing community… and more people to get into golf!
Ensure that golf, in all its forms, has a healthy, long-term, sustainable future – more golfers, safe, positive and inclusive environments, sustainable practices and a wider understanding of what our sport can offer.
