Volunteer success stories

Case studies

Volunteers are making an impact in golf clubs across the country.

At England Golf we want to celebrate the success of volunteers by spreading the word about the great things they’ve achieved.

Meet Mike Watson

Mike volunteers at Cavendish Golf Club in Derbyshire. His work has helped increase visitor income and stabilise membership levels. In this clip, he explains what he did when starting out in the role.

How Angela Loveday and Sammy Martin help keep new members

Angela and Sammy have helped new members settle in at Royal Norwich Golf Club in Norfolk. Watch the video to find out how they did it.

Links Golf Club

Links Golf Club ran a Ladies Academy Project for new golfers and recruited nearly 40 volunteers from within the club to be buddies. They helped the new players get to know the club resulting in 29 taking up Academy Membership.

We want to hear your stories
