Elizabeth, from Sutton Coldfield Ladies’ in Warwickshire, is a student at the University of North Carolina. She had four birdies in both of her rounds, scoring level par 72 and 69.
Second place was shared by five players, including England international Hayley Davis – who recorded her 11th finish in the top three in US college tournaments.
Hayley, from Ferndown in Dorset, is a student at Baylor University in Texas and a past winner of the English women’s and girls’ championships. She scored 72, 74 and her result helped her college to win the team event.
