UPDATE: Switch of date and venue for Senior Men’s Amateur Stroke Play

England Golf can today announce a switch in both date and venue for this year’s English Senior Men’s Amateur Stroke Play Championship.

This prestigious 54-hole event will now take place at Woodhall Spa GC between 6-8 August.

The championship has moved from its original date of 11-13 August at Frilford Heath GC to the home of England Golf.

The championship will be staged over both courses at Woodhall Spa, players competing on the Hotchkin (pictured above) on days one and three and on day two over the Bracken.

Competitors already registered for the Senior Men’s Stroke Play will be contacted directly about the change in arrangements and given the chance to either re-confirm their place or be refunded their entry fee.

Frilford Heath will remain as the host for the English Senior Women’s Amateur Strokeplay Championship between 11-13 August.

The women’s 54-hole event will be played on the Green Course at the renowned Oxfordshire venue.

Both competitions remain open for entries with a closing date of 22 July (men) and 29 July (women).

Entries can be made online via the competition pages on the England Golf website.

England Golf is operating a revised championship schedule for 2020 in light of the COVID-19 outbreak and future events may be subject to change according to any updated government advice and guidelines.
