England’s youngsters overwhelmed their rivals from Wales 17½ – 2½ in the opening boys' under 16 international of the autumn at Cumberwell Park in Wiltshire.
Played over two days, England won the first series of singles 7-1 then dropped just half a point in the afternoon foursomes.
The trend was repeated the following day with the England team completing another 7-1 result in the second series of singles to wrap up a comprehensive victory.
“This was an excellent performance by the boys,” said England boys’ manager Derek Hughes.
Next month the boys take on Scotland at Blackwell, Worcestershire; followed by the match against Ireland at Delamere Forest in Cheshire. The England boys have won the series 3-0 for the last two years.
