Talented pair head for the Junior Open

Talented teenagers Rosie Belsham and Joshua Berry will represent England in The R&A’s Junior Open on the Eden Course at St Andrews, from 16-18 July.

The 54-hole championship is closely linked to The Open and features leading U16 golfers from around the world. Past winners include Masters champion Patrick Reed.

Rosie Belsham, 16, is a member at Whitley Bay Golf Club in Northumberland. She was runner-up in the Scottish girls’ open and has followed up with a series of good results, including 20th place in the new British U16 girls’ open.

Joshua Berry, 13, plays at Doncaster Golf Club in Yorkshire. He became the first English winner of French U14 championship when he lifted the title earlier this year. He made the cut in the U18 Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters and is currently playing in the Belgian U14s.

Both Rosie and Joshua train with England Golf regional squads.
