Talented girl golfers to take on Switzerland

Talented girl golfers Charlotte Heath, Daisy Kennedy, Thalia Kirby and Caitlin Whitehead will represent England in the annual U16 girls’ international against Switzerland. 
The match will be played tomorrow at Pannal Golf Club, Yorkshire, and is a curtain raiser to the North of England U16 championship, which takes place from Wednesday to Friday, 23-25 August. 
 
The players: 
 
Charlotte Heath, 15, (Huddersfield, Yorkshire), won the Pleasington Putter, a prestigious women’s scratch event, and was fifth in the English U16 girls’ championship. 
 
Daisy Kennedy, 15, (Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire) won the English U16 schools championship and tied sixth in the English U16 girls’ championship.  
 
Thalia Kirby, 16, (Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire) tied for the English U16s, but was beaten in a play-off. She was third in the Scottish U16s and fifth in the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters. (Image copyright Leaderboard Photography). 
 
Caitlin Whitehead, 14, (Kendal, Cumbria) represented GB&I in the Junior Vagliano Trophy against Continental Europe and has had a string of top ten finishes this season.
