Surrey teenager Sammy Fuller underlined her good form when she scored a two-stroke win in the Bridget Jackson Bowl at Handsworth, Birmingham.
The 14-year-old shot level par 72 in the morning – despite counting the cost of two “silly” bogeys on the back nine. With the wind picking up a little in the afternoon, she added a second round 73 and finished two clear of Emma Newlove (Beeston Fields).
Sammy, from Roehampton, is enjoying a good season and reaping the rewards of hard work with top ten finishes in recent English, Irish and Welsh championships. She has dropped over 1000 places in the world rankings to 661 and is now playing off plus-one.
Sammy is a past winner of the English U13 championship, taking the title as a 12-year-old.
