SENIOR WOMEN’S BRENDA KING FOURSOMES TOURNAMENT

The following must be read in conjunction with the England Golf “General Conditions and Rules”, “Hard Card” and other related policies applicable to all England Golf Championships, all of which can be found at www.englandgolf.org/championships


Conditions of Competition

1. The Tournament

a) The Tournament shall be open to female amateur golfers of all nationalities.

b) The Tournament shall consist of 36 holes of Foursomes Stroke Play. One round of 18 holes shall be played on each day.

c) In round two, a side must change the order in which they play from the teeing grounds, from the order they played in round one.

d) The winners shall be the competitors who return the lowest score over 36 holes. Ties shall be decided by applying General Condition 15b.

e) The handicap allowance will be half the aggregate of the partners (for the nett prize). Strokes must be taken according to the Handicap Stroke Index.

2. Entries

a) There will be a maximum of 72 pairs taken on a first come first served basis.

b) If entries exceed 72 pairs, the next 20 pairs shall be placed on a reserve list. If such players are not subsequently offered a place or are unable to accept such an offer, entry fees will be returned.

3. Entry Qualification

Entrants must be:

a) 50 or over on the first day of the Tournament.

b) In possession of a competition “c” handicap not exceeding 24.4 under the CONGU Unified Handicapping System or a comparable scheme operated by a recognised overseas Golf Union, Federation or Association. Entrants holding both a CONGU and an overseas authority’s handicap must enter the Championship using their CONGU handicap. Failure to enter in accordance with this Condition will result in entry being denied.

4. Winner and Prizes

Prize vouchers shall be awarded to the top 3 pairs for the Best Gross Score and Best Nett Score.

In addition, prize vouchers shall also be awarded to the Best Day 1 Score (gross and nett) and Best Day 2 Score (gross and nett).

Players may not win more than one trophy or one prize. Gross Prize’s have priority.
