Teenager Lily May Humphreys has become the youngest-ever winner of the Liphook Scratch Cup – at the age of 14.
The England girl international, from Channels in Essex, came in with a three-under par total of 141 to win by five shots from Georgia Price (Bude and North Cornwall). Fellow girl international Sharna Dutrieux (Wrotham Heath) was third on 149.
Humphreys adds this to a long list of 2016 successes which includes wins in the Fairhaven Trophies, the English U16 girls’ open championship and the North of England U16 championship. She was also third in the European Young Masters.
Price was runner-up in the English women’s strokeplay and third in last week’s British women’s strokeplay
