We passionately believe that golf belongs to everyone. All who play, and all who aspire to play, must have an equal opportunity to do so.
Golf is a unique sport in that anyone and everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or ability, can pick up a club and play together. However, we also face outdated stereotypes and challenges around the perception of the sport and its ability to attract a wide community of participants. Our commitment to advancing our work on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) has steadily increased and, with the appointment of a Lead Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, we continue to strengthen and develop this important and crucial area.
We are looking for a talented individual to deliver expert advice and guidance. A candidate to develop and implement strategic policies, practices and action plans and to promote and deliver equality across all strands, in all areas of England Golf, in line with our Course planner and strategic framework, ‘Making golf more inclusive’.
Advising and influencing our Board, senior management team, staff and stakeholders, you will lead the progression of our EDI action plan and strategic framework, ensuring that our agenda is positive, proactive and influential.
We’re looking for someone:
- Who is passionate about advancing equality, diversity and inclusion within sport
- With subject matter expertise across several areas relating to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- With experience in implementing EDI and creating positive, sustained change and experience of development and leadership inclusion programmes.
- With proven experience of developing programmes and initiatives for under-represented groups.
By listening to under-represented voices, we strive to positively affect everyone’s experience of our sport. There is no place in golf for any form of discrimination.
