Internationals Georgia Hall and Bronte Law will represent England Golf in the Nations Cup team event at this week’s Helen Holm Scottish open stroke play championship. The reserve is Gabriella Cowley.
The 54-hole championship will be played on the Portland and Old Course of Royal Troon from April 26-28.
Georgia Hall, 17, (Remedy Oak, Dorset) is Europe’s number one woman golfer and is ranked sixth in the world. She is the British girls’ champion and this year has won two gold medals at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and retained the Hampshire Rose. (Image © Leaderboard Photography)
Bronte Law, 18, (Bramhall, Cheshire) was a member of the GB&I team which won the Curtis Cup in 2012. She qualified for last season’s Women’s British Open and successfully made the cut. This season she has won the French U18 open title.
Gabriella Cowley, 17, (Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire) is a past winner of the Scottish and the North of England U16 championships and of the English U15 championship. She was in the winning Essex team at the 2012 County Finals.
All three players were in England’s winning team at the 2012 women’s Home Internationals.
