In-form India Clyburn has been selected for England’s team for the Nations Cup event at the British ladies’ stroke play championship at Ashburnham, Wales, from 20-22 August.
India, the English girls’ champion, will be joined by Bronte Law, the English women’s champion, and international Meghan MacLaren.
The best two scores from three over the first two rounds of the championship will count towards the team award.
India Clyburn, 17, (Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, Image © Leaderboard Photography), has won the Scottish junior open as well as the English girls’ title and was England’s leading player in the Girls’ Home Internationals, winning all six of her matches and helping the team to their seventh consecutive win.
Bronte Law, 19, (Bramhall, Cheshire) won the English women’s amateur at St Enodoc and has played in two GB&I Curtis Cup teams. She is a student at the University of California, Los Angeles, and has won on the US women’s college circuit.
Meghan MacLaren, 20, (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire), helped to win the Nations Cup for England at the St Rule Trophy and finished third in the individual event. She also tied third in the English women’s strokeplay. Meghan was the 2013 Irish stroke play champion.
