England’s U16s put on a command performance when they took on Scotland, winning the mixed international at Montrose by 19.5-10.5.
The England players were on top form on the first day, winning the individual match play 8.5-3.5 and the foursomes 5.5-0.5. The Scots rallied on the second day, narrowly winning the individual match play session 6.5-5.5, but it made little impact on England’s lead.
England’s leading players were George Leigh of Trevose, Cornwall, and Thalia Kirby (pictured) of Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, who both had a perfect record of three wins from three matches.
