England internationals aim for team title
Three internationals will represent England in the Nations Cup at the Portuguese women’s amateur championship.
They are Annabell Fuller of Surrey (pictured), Lily May Humphreys of Essex and Sophie Lamb of Lancashire.
The championship will be played at the West Cliff Golf Resort from 24-27 January 2018, with the Nations Cup team event taking place alongside the first three rounds. The best two scores from three will count each day.
Annabell Fuller, 15, (Roehampton) is the English U16 girls’ champion and the girls’ winner of the Telegraph Vitality junior golf championship. She was runner-up in the Annika Invitational Europe, after a play-off, and third in the European Young Masters.
Lily May Humphreys, 15, (Stoke by Nayland) holds a trio of top titles after winning the British girls’, the English women’s and the European Young Masters championships. She was seventh in the world junior girls’ championship.
Sophie Lamb, 20, (Clitheroe) won the Smyth Salver as the low amateur at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns, Scotland, and helped England successfully defend the European women’s team championship. She is a past winner of the British women’s stroke play championship.
