Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Play Safe Stay Safe Guidelines

With the lifting of most restrictions by government from 19 July, the choice is now there for golf clubs to make their own judgements and once again decide how they operate their facilities within the updated laws and guidance set by the government. We will continue to provide guidance and support to clubs as and when required.

It is also for each individual to choose how they play the game, interact with others and utilise the facilities available to them at their golf club. For example, when considering the use of facemasks or socialising indoors, they have the discretion to act accordingly based on whether they feel comfortable in a clubhouse environment.

Instead of legislation, the move is now for a common sense approach based on the fact the government and their medical advisers no longer feel there is a requirement to put down in law what people can and cannot do.

We will signpost to relevant information and government advice where we can and as quickly as possible with the help of our Club Support Officer network.

Please continue to check our social media channels and website for all the latest updates on golf and the Covid-19 situation.
