The 2021 R&A 9 Hole Challenge is your chance to get closer to the action at The Open than ever before.
The journey could start on a spring evening at your club and end with you leading the way for the 2021 Champion Golfer of the Year at Royal St George’s this summer.
Golfers from across GB&I, Australia and New Zealand will be competing in 9 hole club competitions across the early part of 2021 as they attempt to qualify for the Final this Summer. For further information on the R&A 9 Hole Challenge, visit The R&A website.
The scores of the top 2 players from each club that are entered into the 9 Hole Challenge portal will be combined to create a club score. The leading 9 pairs from across the country, based on their aggregate score, will qualify for the final at Royal St Georges on Saturday 10 July 2021, the week before the Kent course host The Open Championship.
The more 9 hole competitions you compete in, the greater your chances of reaching Royal St George’s. To improve your odds, encourage your club to add more 9 hole events to your club’s calendar.
The current scores to beat will be displayed on the National 9 Hole Leaderboard which will be updated every week. The closing date for scores to be submitted to the 9 Hole Challenge Portal is midday on Monday 7 June.
