English Girls' Under 16/14 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship

Competition Format

A maximum of 144 Competitors shall compete in this Championship, with the Under 16 Championship being played over 72 holes and the under 14 Championship being played over 54 holes. If overall entries exceed 144, they shall be reduced to 144 by eliminating the higher handicaps by ballot. On completion of any handicap ballot, players will be allocated their position into the respective Championships based on their age, as of 1st January of the year in which the Championship is played. The full field will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. Then, the leading 40% and ties of players in the Under 16 Championship and the leading 40% and ties of players the Under 14 Championship shall qualify for the final 36 holes and the final 18 holes respectively, on the third day.

Lyme Regis Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is recognised as one of the finest golf courses in the South West.

The golf course hosts county, regional and national championships, the 18 hole par 71 course occupies a cliff top site with coastal views towards Portland Bill and overlooks the Historical town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis, It is a challenging test, with a sea breeze, ideal for all abilities.

The Clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green makes the ideal location to unwind and relax after a match or perfect for those special events such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or for a relaxing lunch.
