Why volunteer?

The benefits of giving up your time for the game

Giving up your time can really benefit your club. You can increase members’ confidence on the course, put plans into action and attract new players.
And it’s good for you too! It’s been proven that volunteering has a positive effect on mental health and happiness.
So, what’s stopping you?

Meet the volunteers at Royal Norwich Golf Club

Why volunteer?

We asked volunteers why they do what they do. The top reason people volunteer is because they enjoy it! Other people say they do it because they:

  • Love the sport
  • Want to ‘give back’ to the game and their club
  • Enjoy helping to get people playing and enjoying golf
  • Get personal satisfaction from the achievements in their role
  • Understand the benefits it brings to other people

Get involved

Start by getting in touch with your local club and offer a helping hand. Why not use our club finder?
