Returning non-qualifying scores

Returning non-qualifying scores

Promoting integrity of the system

When you’re playing away from home in non-qualifying competitions, you need to return scores to your club.

England Golf introduced this clause of the CONGU handicapping system to prevent players manipulating the system to their advantage and to keep the game fair.

This was prompted by a number of cases of players who protected inflated handicaps, only to repeatedly collect high-value rewards when playing in competitions away from home.

The scores provide clubs with evidence to support handicap reviews.
