Handicaps reflect a golfer’s ability, so it’s important they are reviewed to check their accuracy.
CONGU has three types of review:
- The annual review – takes place once a year between October and March
- The continuous handicap review (CHR) – identifies players who are struggling to play to their handicap after the return of 7 scores outside the buffer zone
- A general play review/adjustment (GPA) – when the handicap committee makes an adjustment to a player’s handicap during the playing season
