What is a CASC?

The Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Scheme allows local amateur sports clubs to register with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). You could benefit from a range of tax reliefs, including Gift Aid.

Already registered?

HMRC changed the rules for the CASC scheme in 2015. They revised things like membership fee thresholds and rules on paying players. Any clubs that don’t meet the criteria will have their registration cancelled, so please check you have the latest information.

You can check gov.uk to see if your club is eligible to register with HMRC as a CASC.
