Knowing your handicap, or being able to check it easily, is a crucial part of the game for clubs and players.
It can be especially important if you’re playing away or at a club that wants to verify visitors’ handicaps.
In 2009 we introduced a centralised database that golfers and clubs can log in to easily. We now have over 750,000 players and 1,800 golf clubs registered on our Central Database of Handicaps (CDH).
Each home club member with a CONGU handicap is given a CDH lifetime ID number. So away clubs can quickly confirm your membership of a club and handicap.
Expert handicapping and CDH advice
Our system provides support and expert advice for affiliated clubs with handicapping or CDH queries.
Clubs can raise a ticket once logged into the CDH. This system helps us send questions to the most appropriate person so it’s dealt with quickly.
The system also allows anyone at your club with access to the CDH website to track the progress of an enquiry and view archived tickets.
Want to view your handicap information?
If you’re a member of a golf club affiliated to England Golf, you can view your handicap on your membership profile at any time.
If you’re not registered, why not? It’s free and, as well as handicap information, you’ll get access to a whole host of membership benefits.
