International Meghan MacLaren led four English amateurs through pre-qualifying for the Ricoh Women’s British Open at The Berkshire.

Meghan went there straight after representing England in the European ladies’ amateur team championship at Fulford and continued her good form when she tied third with a three-under par 69.

She will be joined at final qualifying by Surrey’s Annabel Dimmock (Wentworth), who scored two-under 70, fellow international Lauren Taylor (Woburn) and Cheshire’s Rachael Goodall (Heswall, Image © Leaderboard Photography), who both returned 71.

They were among 26 players who scored par or better to go forward to the final stage at Kingsbarns Golf Links, Scotland, on July 29.

The 2013 Women’s British Open will be played on the Old Course at St Andrews from 1-4 August.
