Four talented players will represent England in the Irish Boys’ Amateur at New Forest Golf Club from 25-28 June.
They are Melan Dhaubhadel of BB&O, Max Hopkins of Hertfordshire (pictured), George Leigh of Cornwall and Harry Lord of Lancashire.
Melan Dhaubhadel, 18, (Calcot Park) tied for the U18 Peter McEvoy Trophy at Copt Heath, only to lose out in a play-off when his opponent chipped in for birdie. He trains with the England Golf Thames Valley regional squad.
Max Hopkins, 16, (Bishops Stortford) was fifth in the Peter McEvoy Trophy. He was in England’s winning team at the 2018 Boys’ Home Internationals and is a member of the England Golf national boys’ squad.
George Leigh, 16, (Trevose) was sixth in last year’s English U16 McGregor Trophy and 12th in the Fairhaven Trophies. He trains with the England Golf national boys’ squad.
Harry Lord, 17 (Rossendale) was seventh in the 2019 Scottish Boys’ Stroke Play and has had top 20 finishes in both the McEvoy and Fairhaven Trophies. He trains with the England Golf Yorkshire regional squad.
