England U16 girls v Ireland 2018
15 October 2018

Convincing win for England in mixed U16 international

England won the first mixed U16 international against Ireland with a convincing score of 15.5-8.5 at Limerick Golf Club.

The team laid the foundations of their success in the first day’s foursomes and fourballs, in conditions described by manager Nick Over as “particularly wet and trying.”

Despite that the team played excellent golf to lead 10-2 going into the final singles session.

Three players had a 100% winning record during the weekend: Caitlin Whitehead, Rafiah Banday and Ben Schmidt. Another three were unbeaten, with 2.5 points from three: Rosie Belsham, Conor Gough and George Leigh.
