At England Golf, we want more women and girls to get involved in the game. Currently only 15% of club members are female – we’re lagging far behind many European countries!
Our strategy to grow the game aims to increase the proportion of women golfers to 20% by 2021.
Showing young girls that golf is fun and clubs are welcoming is one way to achieve our goal. Our recruitment campaign introduces 7-14 year olds to golf, with the support of girls who already play.
Girls Golf Rocks will return in 2021 and will give new players the chance to take part in free taster sessions and enjoy girls-only coaching.
To help your club inspire more women and girls to become members, we’ve created a series of factsheets covering a range of topics. They include case studies and provide suggestions based on our focus group research.
- Club environment
- Playing opportunities
