Nutrition and Hydration
Eat and drink your way to better golf. That’s the theme of a series of articles written by leading sports dietitian Jane Griffin.
They explain how all golfers – from beginners to elite players – can improve performance by paying attention to nutrition.
The first bulletin deals with basics - the foundations of a good, daily diet – while other topics are specifically golf related and include:
- Coping with Christmas
- Keeping energy levels up
- Competing in hot climates
- Eating out
- Protein supplements
- Eating late at night
- Caffeine – friend or foe
“I really do think every golfer will benefit from this information,” said Jane, who has specialised in sports nutrition and dietetics for over 20 years. “A lot of people don’t make the link between performance and nutrition.”
