Information for Parents
As the parent of a junior golfer, it is important to know that your child is receiving a quality experience within golf and that their wellbeing is safeguarded when they are participating.
England Golf are continually working to develop junior golf in England, by creating and enhancing schemes and resources which all help to improve the provision for juniors and ensure that their welfare is paramount.
Below are just a few of the ways in which England Golf are developing junior golf in England:
The Children in Golf (CIG) Strategy Group was formed to produce a child protection policy for golf, across Great Britain and Ireland. The bodies work together to:
- Develop, monitor and review golf’s safeguarding strategy.
- Ensure that strategic decisions concerning child protection in golf are managed and communicated throughout the partnership.
- Ensure that there is a consistent approach to child protection throughout golf.
