As part of England Golf's research strategy, the Golf Club Membership Questionnaire is distributed to all affiliated golf clubs every two years, in order to build up a picture of junior and adult membership within golf clubs in England.

Information collected from the Questionnaire is published in a Results Booklet. The Results Booklet from the 2012 Questionnaire is now available and can be purchased from the online shop for £2.00. The 2012 Booklet and previous Results Booklets, from 2006 onwards, are also available to download on the link to the right of the page.

The Questionnaire has enabled England Golf to direct resources and provide support to golf clubs and counties (view examples of how this data has been used).

Results from the 2012 Questionnaire show that 81% of the 352 clubs which have maintained or increased their membership figures over the last two years are working with their County Golf Partnership and/or are involved in England Golf programmes.
