County Development Officer (Yorkshire)

Salary £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (plus expenses)

Due to the size of the county we are looking to appoint a second officer, driving the delivery of the ‘More Players’, ‘More Members’ and ‘Stronger Clubs’ elements of the Yorkshire County Action Plan up to 31st March 2017, in line with ‘Raising Our Game’ – The Strategic Plan for England Golf 2014-2017.

To help support the Yorkshire Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require a County Development Officer to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.

We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience, a good knowledge of golf and of the golf club environment.  Download the full advert and role description for further infomation.

County Development Officer (Hampshire)

Salary £22,000 per annum (plus expenses)

The post is full-time and will require evenings/weekends work if necessary.

County Development Officer (Lancashire)

Salary £21,000 per annum (plus expenses)

Due to the size of the county, we are looking to appoint a second officer in Lancashire, preferably based in the west of the county, driving the delivery of the ‘More Players’, ‘More Members’ and ‘Stronger Clubs’ elements of the Lancashire County Action Plan up to 31st March 2017, in line with ‘Raising Our Game’ – The Strategic Plan for England Golf 2014-2017.

To help support the Lancashire Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require a second County Development Officer to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.

We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience and a good knowledge of golf and the golf club environment. The position is home based however, the Lancashire Union office (Preston) is available for use as and when required. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving licence & car owner is essential). The post-holder will be entitled to travel and other expenses.

Independent Chair: England Golf Partnership

The Board of the England Golf Partnership (EGP) is now seeking to appoint a new independent Chair to lead the EGP in the next stage of its work.

The EGP is a Limited Liability Partnership, established in 2005. Its vision is “To allow England to become the leading golfing nation in the world by providing more opportunities for participants to Start, Stay and Succeed in the game”. It has received a grant of circa £12.5m from Sport England to achieve key outcomes between 2013-2017. The Members of the LLP are England Golf and the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA). 

The successful candidate is likely to have experience as a Chairman and substantial board experience; be able to apply a range of influencing skills; be an excellent networker; expert at managing relationships, demonstrate a track record of being involved in building collaborative and co-operative partnerships; and, have a strong network of connections within the government, civil service and relevant public bodies.

Regional Strength and Conditioning Coach (East Midlands, Thames Valley and South East Regions)

England Golf is seeking applications for the three separate positions of Regional Strength & Conditioning coaches (East Midlands, Thames Valley and South East Regions). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to one of the 10 England Golf regions, each containing an U16 boys, U16 girls and U18 AASE squad. The regional physical programme will be centrally developed and monitored in close cooperation with the existing Regional Coaches and England Golf National Lead for Strength and Conditioning.

The position will be based on 20 days support; to be split between the U16 boys, U16 girls and U18 AASE squads.

This post has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with England Golf policy successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclo-sure & Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
