The following vacancies are available:
Salary £20 -22k per annum (plus expenses)
We are looking to appoint two County Development Officers in Cheshire, driving the delivery of the ‘More Players’, ‘More Members’ and ‘Stronger Clubs’ elements of the Cheshire County Action Plan up to 31st March 2017, in line with ‘Raising Our Game’ – The Strategic Plan for England Golf 2014-2017.
To help support the Cheshire Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require two County Development Officers to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.
We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience and a good knowledge of golf and the golf club environment. The positions are home based however, the successful candidates will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving license & car owner is essential). The county will be split geographically between the two posts. The post-holders will be entitled to travel and other expenses.

England Golf is seeking applications for the voluntary role of Manager to the England A Squad. The primary role will be to ensure all administration and management requirements are met at all training and competitive sessions of the England A Squad.
The position will be based on 34 days of coaching and competition attendance over the winter/spring months, attendance at the combined England Golf Christmas Camp/Coaching Conference, coach education days in April and major amateur tournament attendance during the summer months, as agreed with the Performance Director.
Primary requirements of the Applicant:
- A background and working knowledge of elite golfers;
- Managerial experience;
- A good understanding of the England Golf performance programmes;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Enthusiastic, personable and competitive.
This role has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with England Golf policy the successful contractor will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.

This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.
We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience, a good knowledge of golf and of the golf club environment. The skills required include the ability to work autonomously, with written, verbal and IT communication skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work with golf club staff and committees, professionals and volunteers.
The position is home based, however the county office is available for use as and when required. In addition the successful candidate will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving licence & car owner is essential). The post-holder will be entitled to travel and other expenses.
The post is full-time and will require evenings/weekends work if necessary.
