County Development Officer (Hampshire) - England Golf
Salary £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (plus expenses)

To help support the Hampshire Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require a County Development Officer to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period. 

We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience, a good knowledge of golf and of the golf club environment. The skills required include the ability to work autonomously, with written, verbal and IT communication skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work with golf club staff and committees, professionals and volunteers. 

The position is home based, however the county office is available for use as and when required. In addition the successful candidate will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving licence & car owner is essential). The post-holder will be entitled to travel and other expenses. 

The post is full-time and will require evenings/weekends work if necessary.

Regional Strength & Conditioning Coach (East Region)

Senior Regional Manager (South East)
Salary Band 4 (24,360 - £36,540 per annum + benefits)

The Senior Regional Manager role is part of a team of four Senior Regional Managers and the main purpose of the role is to further the aims of England Golf in relation to areas of more players, more members and stronger clubs through the strategic plan. The Participation and Club Support team have a wide remit and support clubs in all aspects of golf facility management and best practice.

The post is full-time (Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) but you may be required to travel/work weekends and evenings. The position is home based or can be located within a remote office. It is preferred that the person lives within the Counties associated with this role (Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Middlesex and Kent).

Girls Lead Coach

England Golf is seeking applications for the position of Girls Lead Coach. The person will be responsible for the development and preparation of players in the England Girls Squad/Teams. The role will require the commitment of 50 days broken down into coaching camps, competition attendance, administration, individual player support and continued professional development. 

The key responsibilities of the role will be to prepare and coordinate all aspects of the Girls Squad for competition which includes designing, implementing and managing a periodised training programme for each individual at squad camps and in their home training environment.  For further information please download the full advert and details.

U16 Girl's and Boy's Manager(s) (East Region)
Voluntary positions

England Golf is seeking applications for the voluntary position of Regional Manager(s) to the U16 Girl’s Squad and U16 Boy’s Squad in the East Region. The two roles can be considered separately for two candidates or as one broader position. The East Region comprises the geographical area of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Bedfordshire. 

The two squads will comprise of a maximum of six players each chosen at an Assessment Weekend and will be for players under 16 years of age.

The voluntary position will require a commitment based on 20 days of coaching for each squad, plus attendance at the England Golf Christmas Camp, coach and manager education days and any relevant team meetings, and tournament attendance.

The focus of the role will be to assist the Regional Coaches with the delivery of the U16 Regional Coaching Programme and to successfully manage and mentor the players to give them the best environment for their golf development.

Requirements of the Applicant:

  • A working knowledge of elite amateur golf;
  • Dedicated to elite junior golf development;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Sound management skills;
  • Enthusiastic, personable and competitive.
