To help support the Suffolk Golf Development Group’s objectives (made up of the Men’s Union, Ladies Association and PGA) we require a County Development Officer to join our progressive team, on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2017. This position is externally funded and, subject to performance, may be extended beyond this period.
We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma, sports development experience, a good knowledge of golf and of the golf club environment. The skills required include the ability to work autonomously, with written, verbal and IT communication skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work with golf club staff and committees, professionals and volunteers.
Prior work experience in a golf club environment and/or programme delivery is desirable but not essential.
The position is home based. In addition the successful candidate will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving licence & car owner is essential). The post-holder will be entitled to travel and other expenses.
The post is full-time and will require evenings/weekends work if necessary.

England Golf is seeking applications for eight or more regional Investigators providing support to the Governance department on an ad-hoc basis as required. The main purpose of the positions are to conduct enquiries in relation to cases received by England Golf and other golfing bodies.
The focus of the roles will be to provide reports, witness statements and any other relevant documentation as required in relation to, but not limited to, Disciplinary and Safeguarding matters.

Requirements of applicants:
- A high level of confidentiality
- Prior experience of investigation work
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate Data Protection compliance
- Previous experience of safeguarding investigation work would be an advantage
Fees will be paid in accordance with the agreed scale of charges indicated below:
Rates: Hourly rate £25, set times to be agreed prior to commencement of work.
Travel expenses: Mileage 35 pence per mile. For any journey over 30 miles, travelling time payable £10 per hour.
In the event of enquiries requiring ferry, train or air travel, such costs will only be incurred with the prior approval of England Golf, and charged at cost as a disbursement.

The Participation & Club Support team require an Administrator to cover Maternity leave.
England Golf is the National Governing Body for Amateur Golf in England and is responsible for developing and promoting the amateur game of golf in England. England Golf launched its new strategy ‘Raising our Game’, designed to increase participation and club membership in 2014.
The Participation & Club Support department look at ways of increasing and sustaining the number of people who play golf regularly, provide initiatives to increase the number of players in club membership and support Golf Clubs on areas relating to development, operations and marketing.
The role of Administrator is very broad including the administration of Participation & Club Support initiatives as well as providing support to golf clubs and counties.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
• Good communication skills
• Competence in the use of IT tools including spreadsheets, email and word processing
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good organisational skills
• Motivation and a desire to learn
