Frequently Asked Questions

My away club is not showing in my profile?

Your Member Benefits profile information is pulled from the Central Database of Handicaps (CDH) system which is controlled by the golf clubs. It is likely that the reason your away club does not show on your profile is because they are not using your ID number in their handicap software. You will need to inform your away club of your ID number and ask that they update your profile in their software to include this (identifying that you are an away player). They will then need to synchronise with the CDH to update your profile information.

How do I change my home club on my profile, as I have recently moved clubs?

The correct procedure is for the handicap secretary at your previous club to release/resign you using their club software. You then need to present your Members Benefit card to the handicap secretary at your new club who will then upload you using their club software; making you a home member using your same Members’ card number. Once this has been done correctly, your profile on our site will automatically update to reflect the new information.

How do I change my email address?

To change your email address please contact members@englandgolf.org  identifying your Lifetime ID number and new email address.

I have not received my Members card?

We do apologise for this, please email your details to members@englandgolf.org including your Lifetime ID/CDH number (if known) or the email address which you initially registered with and we will respond as soon as possible.

How do I enter into the weekly Prize Draws?

When you register for the Members Benefit Programme you are automatically entered into each prize draw, if you are a lucky winner we will contact you.

How can I change my address details?

Once you have correctly logged in you will see a greeting of Hello Tom Brown (Not Tom Brown, Sign out) You need to click on your name which is in bold and this will take you to a further screen whereby you can change your personal details and password.

Can more than one person register with the same email address?

Yes, it is possible for multiple players to register using the same email address but each must have a separate password for the system to work correctly.

I have registered myself and my partner but when I log in I can only view my profile?

You have probably registered using the same email address and the same password as each other, please email us at members@englandgolf.org  and we can amend this.

I have received my card, do I need to re-register or activate this?

If you have received your card this means you are correctly and fully registered, the card does not need to be activated- it is ready to use immediately.

I cannot find the login page

Please save the following link to your favourites to enable you to log in to the correct area of our website. Your username is the email address which you registered with and both this and your password are case sensitive.

I am trying to register but the system ‘throws’ the password out which I have entered?

You need to ensure you are entering your date of birth in the correct format in the required box, this should be with forward-slashes i.e.19/05/1958 If it is entered in any other format the system will delete the password and some of the information which you have entered on the registration form.

My handicap is incorrect when I log into my Member's profile

The data which you view when you log into your MBP profile is automatically generated from the Central Database of Handicaps which is updated by your home club's handicap secretary who are your handicapping authority. You would need to discuss your query with them and they will be able to help you further.

I'm trying to register but my home club isn't listed in the drop down box

When selecting your home clubs County on the registration page, this will be your clubs POSTAL County and not County Union or Association.
