Wildlife and nature conservation legislation

6. Wildlife and nature conservation legislation

There are a range of environmental legislations relevant to wildlife and nature conservation on golf courses.  For example, many rare and vulnerable plants and animals are protected by law and seemingly ordinary trees may be subjected to a Tree Preservation Order. Being aware of these legislations is important to most effectively manage the golf course.
