How do I get on the England Team?

Applications for the U16 & U18 AASE Programme are now closed for 2017. The application forms for next years intake will appear here in June 2018.

Each year England Golf seeks talented youngsters from across the country to form 30 regional coaching squads for training over the winter months.

Young golfers can apply for the boys’ and girls’ U16 regional coaching programme for one year and the mixed U18 AASE regional coaching squads for two years.

It could be the stepping stone to great things. Past Masters champion Danny Willett is among the graduates of England regional training, as are three members of the winning GB&I Curtis Cup team: Bronte Law, Meghan MacLaren and Alice Hewson.

The most frequent question we get asked: - "How do I get on an England Team?"

We have a number of excellent ranking systems available to us in the amateur game that help us to recognise who the best performing golfers are in an objective way.

We also have a team of coaches and managers that attend the major amateur tournaments at girls/boys and womens/mens levels to continuously assess the players that are performing well and deserve the chance to represent England.

Our Selection Policy (available to download from above) details the key England Team selections that are made throughout the course of the season. Players who perform well, consistently achieve good results and show a good attitude on and off the golf course will be rewarded with England representation when the opportunity arises.
