The 17-year-old, who is playing back-to-back LET events, shot level par 72 in the first round at Golfclub Broekpolder before adding a pair of 76s.  The championship was won by Carlota Ciganda of Spain who had scores of 71 67 69.

Lauren made the 36-hole cut on the mark, tweeting “Phew!” to her followers. At the end of the 54-hole event, in which she shared 57th place, she returned to Twitter to record: “Great experience at the Deloitte Ladies Open. Thanks to LET golf for another awesome event.”

The 17-year-old from Woburn qualified for the event when she won the 2011 Dutch junior open. This week she plays in Allianz Ladies Slovak Open which starts on Friday. She is one of five amateurs in the field who have a sponsor invitation.

Lauren became the youngest-ever British champion when she won the title last year at the age of 16 and went on to become the 2011 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award. She trains with England Golf's Performance Squad.
