GCMA launch golf club management degree

The Golf Club Managers Association (GCMA) have launched an ground-breaking degree qualification in golf club management.

Their new BA (Hons) Golf Club Management degree will be delivered by Cornwall College and based at Lindfield Golf Club in West Sussex. The first intake of students will start in September 2021.

The course can be taken as a three-year full time degree, or a six-year part-time study. It is suitable for aspiring managers at the start of their career, as well as existing managers looking to build their experience.

GCMA Chief Executive Tom Brooke said: “This is a massive step forward for golf club management. We, as the Golf Club Managers’ Association, are very proud of the part that we have played in presenting this to the golf industry.

“It underlines our commitment to education and personal development, not only for our members, but also the wider golfing community.”

The GCMA also offer a Level 5 diploma qualification in golf club management, developed in partnership with BIGGA and the PGA.
