At England Golf we understand that COVID-19 is creating huge challenges for all golf clubs across England. Whilst we cannot predict when the current period of uncertainty will end, we can assure you that we are here to help you both throughout these unprecedented times and once life begins to return to any kind of normality.
With the situation ever-changing, we will adapt and continue to support by working remotely with all clubs. Whether it is business support, funding applications, SafeGolf accreditation or just someone to bounce an idea off or listen to your concerns – we are here for you.
As the situation develops, we are all learning how to cope. There are no silly questions. So do not hesitate to get in touch and, if we don’t have the answer, we will do all in our powers to find an expert who does. Our network of Club Support Officers is currently furloughed, but our Partnership Managers are still available to support clubs.
In the first instance, we can signpost clubs to a range of excellent resources and information designed to help in a time of crisis. This includes financial measures from government on staffing and grants and the recently announced Sport England ‘Community Emergency Fund’.
There is also advice and guidance on more practical matters to help clubs get through this period of difficulty from our wide network of colleagues in the golf industry.

Details on the various business support measures put in place by national Government to support business of all types through the current crisis
Community Emergency Fund- Sport England
The funding can currently cover the period from 1 March to 31 July. Applications will be assessed and responded to within 10 working days of submission. Please pay particular attention to the eligibility criteria before starting this process.
