BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker has been confirmed as the host of the England Golf Awards 2019.
Dan was a huge hit when he presented the 2018 Awards for 500 guests at the Royal Lancaster London.
The journalist and broadcaster is a keen golfer and commented: “I loved hosting the England Golf Awards last year so it’s an absolute pleasure to be invited back again. I look forward to another wonderful night of celebration.”
He’ll be doing the honours on Thursday 21 March when the England Golf Awards 2019 will again take place at the Royal Lancaster London.
The glamorous black tie evening will celebrate the people, clubs and counties who are the true heroes of the game.
Full details of this year’s award categories will be announced on Thursday 1 November when nominations will open. Tickets will also go on sale for the must-attend night of the golfing calendar.
At the 2018 awards Tommy Fleetwood was hailed for the Performance of the Year, teenager Lily May Humphreys was recognised as a Rising Star, while other award winners were:

Young Ambassador of the Year – Liam Ridgill of Drax Golf Club, Yorkshire
Lifetime Service Award – Anders Mankert of Cosby Golf Club, Leicestershire
Coach of the Year – Matthew Turnock of Mottram Hall Golf Club, Cheshire
Club of the Year – Leeds Golf Centre, Yorkshire
Most Welcoming Club of the Year – Golf at Goodwood, Sussex
Championship Venue of the Year – Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club, Suffolk
County of the Year – Middlesex
