Being inclusive isn’t enough. If you don’t tell disabled people you provide activities suitable for everyone, how will they discover your club?
It’s a good idea to add a page to your website about golf for disabled people and promoting what you offer. This could range from specific sessions to activities which are suitable for everyone.
Think about the pictures you choose and make sure you show a good mix of people. And remember to include contact details so that people can get in touch and ask questions.
Working with groups
If you have a partnership with a charity, they may be able to connect you with disabled people they have supported. If not, you could look through community boards to find local groups to work with.
Your local county sports partnership has a disability lead who might be able to help. Speak to your Club Support Officer for more information. And keep an eye on local events and community days.
