Competition Format



This tournament is open to senior women amateur golfers with a handicap limit of 24.4.

They play 36 holes of foursomes stroke play over two days and the winners are the pair with the lowest gross score. There will be prizes for the top three scratch and handicap scores.

A maximum of 72 pairs will compete on a first come, first served basis.  If entries exceed 72 pairs, the next 20 pairs will be placed on a reserve list. 

  • 04.10.18: Yorkshire pair win Brenda King Foursomes - Yorkshire's Betty Sworowski and Julie Wheeldon scored a two-shot win when they teamed up for the first time in the Brenda King Foursomes at Brough Golf Club.
  • 04.10.17: South West pair end senior season with a hat trick - The South West pair of Jo Shorrocks and Amanda Mayne have completed a hat trick of consecutive wins in England Golf's end-of-season senior tournament.
  • 28.09.16: Title double for Jo and Amanda - The pairing of Amanda Mayne and Jo Shorrocks successfully did the double when they defended their title at the Brenda King Foursomes at Clevedon Golf Club in Somerset.
  • 30.09.15: South West pair snatch Brenda King victory - The South West pairing of Amanda Mayne and Jo Shorrocks made up a two-shot deficit to score a narrow win in the Brenda King Foursomes at Coxmoor Golf Club, Nottinghamshire.
  • 02.10.14: Hat trick special for Brenda King winners - Three appearance, three wins! That's the hat trick record of Tracy Atkin and Claire Dowling in the senior ladies' Brenda King Foursomes.

Brough Golf Club, an attractive and challenging Inland Parkland Course located in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The mature nature of the course reflects its historial roots. The Club was founded in 1891 but officially recognised by the R & A in 1893 and so celebrated its Centenary in 1993.
