The final field for this year’s Brabazon Trophy has been confirmed following three regional qualifiers on Tuesday.
A total of 61 players have made it through from the events staged at Pannal (Northern), Stanton-on-the-Wolds (Midland) and Beaconsfield (Southern).
At Pannal, 20 players qualified led by Rotherham’s Jack Whaley (main image) with a four-under par round of 68.
Ieuan Phillips from Newport, Gwent took medalist honours at Stanton-on-the-Wolds with a four under par score of 69. Again, the top 20 players have earned places in the main event.
Australian Alexander Maxwell from Royal Fremantle Golf Club claimed the first spot of 21 available at Southern region qualifying with a four-under par score of 68.

The Brabazon Trophy takes place from 19-22 May at Saunton in Devon with Yorkshire’s Sam Bairstow primed to defend the title he won last year at Ganton.
