Situated between Sunderland and Washington, nestling in the shadow of Penshaw monument on the southern side of the river Wear, Wearside Golf Club is one of the oldest parkland courses and one of the most successful and picturesque in the North East of England. Interesting fact - Wearside Golf Club is among a small number of golf clubs in Britain that start with a par 3 and finish with a par 5 travelling away from the clubhouse. This demanding course guarantees to provide picturesque views, and a friendly welcome, giving you a memorable visit to the Golf Club.

Latest membership news
Ordinary Members and Life members shall not exceed 400. A minimum number of 50 of the 400 places shall be reserved for gentlemen and a minimum of 50 places shall be reserved for ladies. Life Members must have attained the age of 50 and shall not exceed 50 in number. To qualify for Senior Membership you must be over 65yrs Social Membership is £30 There is a £50 bar levy for Gents, Seniors and Ladies membership Locker fees are £20 There are 3 categories of fees for Juniors - 0 - 11 yrs £5, 12 - 17 yrs £105, and 18 -21 £155 All fees are due on each 1st January and must be paid before each 1st February Fees can be paid by standing order in 6 instalments If you are interested in joining us, or have any questions, we would like to hear from you. We warmly welcome society groups to our course,rates for parties of 12+ are shown below. A non-returnable deposit of $50.00 for Green Fees should accompany the booking form, this will be deducted from the total fee due on the day. The balance should be paid to the Club professional or Secretary before play commences
