Founded in 1925 Kington Golf Club is spectacularly located on Bradnor Hill on the western border of Herefordshire. The 18 hole uplands course, which is the highest in England at 1284 feet represents a unique creation of the famous golf course architect Major Cecil Key Hutchison who worked with James Braid in designing Carnoustie and Gleneagles and later remodelled Woodhall Spa. The layout of the course is surpassed only by its magnificent setting with visitors enjoying breathtaking views over the surrounding hills including the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, the Malvern Hills and the picteresque marches countryside. Kington has long been renowned for its superb greens which are playable 12 months of the year.
