Lying on porous limestone, the golf course has excellent natural drainage, meaning that it remains in good condition all year round. The indigenous tree species provide a particular golfing challenge even on the shorter holes, where accuracy is all important. The greens are always quick and true, and have a reputation for being some of the best in the area.

Sorry there are no green fee details for this club yet
The Club is situated conveniently close to the A1 near the roundabout south of Stamford, and welcomes Golf Societies on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The course is compact, with no long walks from green to tee, and is fairly flat. It is freedraining with excellent fairways and greens thus making an ideal society venue. At the same time its Par of 70 represents a fair challenge. Inevitably, some greenkeeping tasks have to be carried out when both climatic and under foot conditions are suitable, but these are minimised and society days are almost never inconvenienced. In the unlikely event that this leads to any disruption a generous green fee discount will be offered. The catering service is comprehensive and competitively priced. From full English breakfast, through light (or not so light!) lunch, to multi course dinner is available to parties of twelve or more. The catering manager can accommodate exotic menus given sufficient notice. A standard all day package consisting of coffee and biscuits on arrival, soup and sandwiches lunch and three course evening meal with coffee costs £20.00. (one or two course option available). There is a well stocked bar. Deposits are not generally sought but green fees for the entire party are payable before play. Eighteen holes cost £25 a head, twenty seven and thirty six holes £33. Separate cheques are required for catering and green fees. Dress standards both on the course and in the clubhouse are those normal at many members’ Clubs, casual in the main, although parties are expected to change for an evening meal in the dining room. Tailored shorts can be worn with long or predominantly white short socks on the course (and in the clubhouse until 7.00 pm). There is a shop and societies wishing to give golf merchandise as prizes are expected to support the home Professional. He will make available longest drive and nearest the pin signs (against a deposit of a size to ensure their return!). He has three two seat buggies available for hire as well as standard pull trolleys, but not clubs. Several societies visit every year and many of them confirm their booking for the following year before they leave; we take this as a compliment! The Secretary is always happy to discuss your requirements. P. H. Mulligan Secretary 20 February 2006
