Competition Format

The Tournament shall be played by 36 holes of scratch stroke play over two days.

Each club team shall consist of three male players.

The Winning Club shall be the one with the lowest combined score of all three players over 36 holes.

  • 16.09.12: Three sub-par returns earn Walsall Champion Club crown - A sparkling day's golf, in which they all returned sub-par scores, earned the Walsall trio of Lewis Pearce and the Sheridan-Mills brothers Freddie and Henry, the English Champion Club title at Stoneham Golf Club near Southampton.
  • 15.09.12: Formby take major step towards title hat-trick - The Formby trio from Lancashire made the long trek south to Stoneham seeking a hat-trick of English County Champion titles and they made sure their journey was necessary by sharing the lead at the end of the first day.

Host Venue

Designed by Donald Steel, who provided the master plan for the modern St Andrews, this is a 6,904 yard par 71 championship golf course. It has been the venue for many prestigious events, including the PGA Europro Tour as seen on Sky Sports and the BMW PGA Order of Merit Championship as well as the EGU McGregor Tournament. The course is set in 160 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside rolling gently down to the River Stour. The Clubhouse with its south facing elevated position affords superb panoramic views.
