Competition Format

This 54-hole championship is open to men aged 55 or over on the first day of the event and is played on two courses.

The full field will play 18 holes on both of the first two days, with one round on each of the two courses. Then, the leading 80 competitors and ties will play the final 18 holes on the third day.

The winner will return the lowest gross score over 54 holes. Prize vouchers will be awarded to the top three places and to the top player in each of the following age categories: 55-59, 60-64 and 65-plus.

Coxmoor Golf Club

Coxmoor Golf Club which was established in 1913, is a magnificent heathland course located close to Nottingham. The Club's  friendly service is consistently recognised by the visitors to the club and you can be assured of a good day of golf on a superbly maintained, very interesting and constantly evolving golf course. 

Sherwood Forest Golf Club

Sherwood Forest Golf Club is a long established heathland course alongside the pines, silver birch and oak trees of Clipstone Woods within the legendary Sherwood Forest.

The Club is very proud of their reputation as one of the oldest and finest heathland golf courses in Great Britain and are currently rated 84th best in the British Isles and 47th in England. The course was intially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid.
